Caribbean

If winter in Europe makes sailing uncomfortable or even impossible, then the Caribbean has a pleasant 25 to 30°C. White sandy beaches, turquoise-blue sea, summer temperatures and partly completely uninhabited islands can be found here all year round. However, the hurricane season from June to October is to be avoided at all costs, when heavy rain and violent storms determine the weather.

The Caribbean is therefore an excellent place to escape the European winter, the best time to travel is from December to June, when there is almost no precipitation.

In general the sailing areas around the Caribbean islands are considered to be challenging. Landings and yacht charters are often separated by long distances, thus increasing the difficulty of sailing. For still inexperienced skippers, we recommend chartering including an experienced skipper.
