France
Because of its distinctive shape, France is often referred to as a hexagon. The “French motherland” stretches from the Mediterranean to the English Channel and the North Sea, and from the Rhine to the Atlantic Ocean. This results in beautiful, if completely contrasting sailing areas that are waiting to be discovered.
While in the south there is a Mediterranean climate, it can also get rougher on the Atlantic coast. Especially the tides, which play an important role on the French Atlantic coast, have to be considered. Expect considerable water level changes and currents here, good preparation is essential!
