The Republic of Seychelles belongs topographically to Africa and is located off its east coast north of Madagascar in the Indian Ocean. The approximately 115 islands are divided into granite and coral islands as well as Inner Islands and Outer Islands.
The main island Mahe as well as Praslin and La Digue are the most important island group of the country and also the most densely populated. Countless paradisiacal bays, the characteristic granite rocks and fine sandy beaches can be found here but also on the many small neighbouring islands.
Sailing in the Seychelles is basically possible all year round, whereby the months of May to October are best suited, as the climate is determined by the monsoon. All year round the temperatures here are 24 to 30°C, even the sea water has an average temperature of 27°C!
